Kate has a Bachelors of Music Education from University of Michigan with a focus on piano. She’s been in the music field for 30 years.
Will Kate Teach Me?
ALL skill levels are welcome! Kate has taught elementary through retired seniors & those with dyslexia and ADHD. All she requires is that a person is willing to learn and try something new.
What Will I Learn?
Kate will teach all of the building blocks of a successful Pianist - scales, chords and how to read notes. A good foundation is essential to playing any instrument.
Will I Advance?
Kate teaches classical, jazz, hymns, chords, number charts, etc. She will use her training in music theory and ear training to enhance and further your piano skills.
What Is Kate’s Fee?
Kate charges $30 for a half hour and $45 for a full hour. She also offers sibling/parent discounts. She accepts cash, debit/credit, PayPal, Venmo and Cashapp.
Where Do I Go?
Kate teaches out of her home in North Street, Michigan - not too far from beautiful Port Huron! Her Yamaha C6 Grand Piano is easily located on the first floor for easy access.
